Chief Technology Officer

Job Summary

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s overall technology strategy and ensuring the successful design, development, testing, and deployment of the organization’s enterprise software products.

As a key member of the founding team, the CTO will lead all engineering and quality initiatives to ensure that the company’s products are scalable, compliant, and aligned with strategic business goals. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with executive-level oversight of engineering processes, architecture, and product delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the company’s technology vision, architecture, and roadmap to support business growth and innovation.
  • Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, coding standards, automated testing, deployment, and production reliability.
  • Establish and enforce software quality assurance practices, test automation frameworks, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Architect and implement secure, scalable cloud-native solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (GKE), Helm, and other modern DevOps tools.
  • Oversee technology governance, including regulatory compliance, data privacy, and software security controls.
  • Manage technical teams, vendors, and contractors; mentor engineers and QA professionals to maintain engineering excellence.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, drive innovation, and align product capabilities with market and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with other founders and executives on business planning, budgeting, and investor engagement from a technology perspective.
  • Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and policies for internal and external audits.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, engineering management, or technology leadership.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong background in SDLC governance, software testing automation, and performance engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Skaffold) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management (GCP/AWS/Azure).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, compliance management, and release governance.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and large-scale projects.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Compensation

Pay Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
